Congress leader Debashish Patnaik on Sunday alleged that former Banki MLA Pravat Ranjan Tripathy and his MLA-son Debi Ranjan Tripathy have violated Covid guidelines many times, making a mockery of shutdown and lockdown being announced by the State Government to check spread of Covid-19 often.
“The former BJD MLA inaugurated thee petrol pumps on July 25, 29 and 31. A lot of people gathered without using masks. They didn’t maintain social distancing. Earlier to these events, MLA Tripathy celebrated his birth day by organising a blood donation camp at the BJD party office. Here also Covid guidelines were violated bluntly,” alleged Patnaik, former MLA of Banki.
He wanted to know why police have not accepted an FIR lodged against them. “If Congress and BJP leader are being booked for violation of Covid guidelines, why action will not be taken against BJD leaders,” wanted to know Patnaik.
