The Odisha Parents’ Federation (OPF) on Sunday wrote to the CBSE urging for stopping of manual registration and form filling process and accepting such entries online only with an extension of timeframe for two months without fine.
“As per Covid-19 guidelines, online classes are only being permitted now. But the private schools are demanding parents to come physically and clear full payment till date else will not accept registration for Classes-IX and XI and filled forms for Classes-X and XII.
It is a preplanned activity of these schools to collect all balances fees forcefully from parents,” read the letter undersigned by OAM chairman Basudev Bhatta.
Bhatta demanded that the CBSE extend the registration and form fill up period for two months and revoke fine for this year and order to schools to accept all registration fee and form fill-up fees online only.
