‘Agnipath to strengthen India’s Defence’

Agnipath is a noble plan to strengthen the Indian Defence system. At the same time, it will provide ample opportunity to the youths to lead a decent and disciplined life after four years of job in defence service, said Col Pravat Kumar Panda, Sena Medal (Veerta) awardee, in a meeting here organised by the Bharat Vikash Parishad (BVP).

Keeping in view the frequent protests against the Agnipath scheme, the BVP organised a seminar where students of different colleges of the district and elite citizens took part.

“Indian Defence needs vibrant youth power. And only Agnipath can fulfil the need,” said Col Panda.  “After serving four years in the Army, Navy or Airforce, any youth can also lead a dignified and meaningful life,” he added.Dr Binod Bihari Naik, Dr Rajkumar Barpanda, Shyam Sundar Sharma among others took part in the discussion to highlight the merits of Agnipath and appealed to the youths not to get biased by any false propaganda. “Those who are protesting are doing so for political reasons. Otherwise, it has its own merit for the cause of the nation,” said Prof Sudarshan Pujari.
