The much-awaited high-speed 5G service in Odisha would be launched before January 26, announced Union IT and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw here on Thursday.
While laying the foundation-stone for renovation of the Bhubaneswar railway station, he said Odisha would avail the 5G service in the first phase. The project would be completed before January 26.
The 5G technology would provide seamless coverage, high data rate, low latency and highly-reliable communications. It would increase energy efficiency, spectrum efficiency and network efficiency.
Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pralhad Joshi, Lok Sabha members Pratap Sarangi and Aparajita Sarangi and MLAs Suresh Kumar Routray and Ananta Narayan Jena were present at the event.
