Salmatpur police claimed to have solved a year-old murder case of a 28-year-old youth, who was found murdered at Halali Dam; deceased’s uncle had killed him and disposed of his body.
The deceased Dashrath Dhanak was killed by his uncle Jamna Prasad Dhanak after having a fight in June 2015.
Police were able to crack the case after the accused who is deceased’s uncle initially refused to identify the belongings of the deceased but later in the investigation the same were identified by deceased’s wife and family member and when the accused was questioned he confessed crime.
The deceased was killed in the month of June and in the investigation police found that missing complaint of deceased has been lodged with Salamatpur police. The family of the deceased lodged a complaint with the Salamatpur police regarding missing of deceased.
The accused told the deceased’s family that he had spoken over phone with the deceased two days ago and he is busy in work in Bhopal.
On June 3, 2015 the accused accompanied the deceased while he was on his way to Bhopal and while on their way accused offered to have drink and later during drinking alcohol they had a fight after accused commented on the character of victim’s wife in which the accused hit the deceased with a stone in his temple and disposed the body.
After the accused confessed the killing shoes of the deceased and the spot where the deceased was disposed was identified by the accused.
