A 30-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence near Durga Chowk under Teelajamalpura police station area on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased Rakesh Prajapati was found in an unconscious state at his rented house and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information and subsequently, a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police have not found any visible injury marks over the body and have not found any signs of suicide.
The post mortem report is awaited which could help in revealing the reason behind the death of the deceased.
The circumstantial evidences suggest that the deceased died under suspicious circumstances. During the investigation his friend and family members would be questioned, said police.
Meanwhile, a five-year-old girl drowned at water filled stone quarry under Sukhi Sewania police station area on Thursday.
According to the police the deceased Poonam Tekaam drowned at a stone quarry in the afternoon when she accompanied her mother Shaguni to the stone quarry for washing of clothes.
The girl was rushed to People’s hospital where she died during treatment. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
