Youth's body found at Kaliasot dam

A 25-year-old youth was found dead at Kaliasot Dam under Kamla Nagar police station area on Tuesday.  According to the police, the body was found at Kalisot Dam and after the body was spotted by the locals, police were informed. On the receipt of the information, a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation, it sent the body for the post mortem. 

During the initial investigation, deceased was identified as Rajesh, who had gone missing on Monday. The family claims that the deceased went to work in the day and never returned. The deceased was a resident of Rajeev Nagar. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Atal Ayub Nagar under Gautam Nagar police station late at night on Monday. 

Awadesh Prajapati was found hanging on Monday and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.The deceased was spotted hanging by his mother, who went to call him for dinner. Police were informed and after preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.  

The deceased was unemployed for the past few months, but he had committed suicide for being unemployed could not be seen as a reason behind the suicide, said the police. In another incident of suicide, a 17-year-old girl attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze at Berasia area on Monday. The girl is reportedly critical.

 Police said that the victim Roshni, who is a class X student attempted suicide and was later rushed to Hamidia hospital where her condition is reportedly critical.  She had sustained around 65 per cent burns and is under observation. In the statements recorded by the victim, she has not provided any reason behind the suicide attempt. Police have started further investigation into the matter.
