Bajaria police nabbed a 22-year-old youth and recovered a sharp-edged weapon from his possession on Saturday. The miscreant had been booked by different police stations in the past for several cases of bullying and extortion.
According to the police, acting on a tip off regarding a youth roaming suspiciously carrying arms a police team reached the spot and searched for the miscreant and detained the miscreant and when he was searched a sharp edged weapon was recovered from his possession.
The nabbed accused was identified as Vikas alias Painter and in the initial investigation it was found that the accused was involved in bullying and extortion and would target children in the area. Police have received complaints regarding the two in the past and after the attack they were nabbed.
In the initial investigation police found that the nabbed accused was on his way to commit crime but before he could commit crime he was nabbed by the police.
The other accomplices of the nabbed accused would be nabbed soon. The nabbed accused would be questioned to obtain more details.
Vicky alias Jitendra was nabbed earlier after the attack while Vikas was nabbed by the police on Saturday.
Police said that the two attacked the victim Arun Sahu on August 19 and after which Vicky alias Jitendra alias Painter was arrested by the police.
The accused used to work in the form of gang but the kingpin of the gang was not identified in the investigation. The details of the gang would be investigated.
