A 21-year-old youth was stabbed to death as he was not willing for marriage of his sister with accused; Gautam Nagar police have nabbed accused who stabbed youth to death near Kalyanpur railway bridge on Tuesday. Family members of deceased identified as Tariq Mohammad lodged missing complaint with Gautam Nagar police after Tariq went missing on Tuesday evening and later he was found dead.
The deceased was beaten brutally and was attacked multiple times with a sharp edged weapon. The accused was identified as Adil who along with Asif killed Tariq. During the investigation police quizzed over two dozen people and narrowed on the accused as they had tea with deceased at Qazi Camp area and later accompanied him to Sukhisewania area where he was stabbed to death.Police detained Adil and when he was grilled he confessed that he wanted to marry Tarique’s sister for which he was not willing and infuriated over refusals by the deceased he planned his murder.
