A 24-year old youth died while his friend was seriously injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle near Mega Best Care Hospital under Piplani police station area late on Wednesday night.
According to the police, a youth was found in an injured state near Mega Best Care Hospital and he was rushed to Narmada Hospital where he was declared dead while the condition of his friend is reportedly critical.
Police were informed and based on the information a police team reached the spot and started the investigation. The deceased has been identified as Satyam Singh of Indrapuri while the injured youth was identified as Ritesh.
The deceased was pursuing MBA from RKDF College while the pillion- rider works with a contractor.
The body was sent for the post-mortem examination after preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The police have not found any information regarding the errant truck driver or details of the truck which hit the deceased. Police said that the injured victim has not regained conscious after the incident due to which the statement is yet to taken which would help in the investigation.
In the initial investigation police have not found any eyewitness who could provide details of the truck or could confirm that the victims were hit by a speeding vehicle or they rammed into the some vehicle or road divider.
