The crime branch Bhopal on Wednesday arrested a miscreant involved in more than two dozen crimes and recovered goods burgled from Bairagarh area on Nov 30.
Acting of a tip off, a youth was nabbed from Peergate area who was identified as Vicky alias Vikram of Bairagarh. When he was searched police recovered a gold chain, a gold finger ring and one pair of silver anklet from his possession after which he claimed that his mother has provided the jewelry to sell but his mother refused providing any jewelry when contacted by police. later the accused confessed that the burglary around 3-4 weeks earlier.
The nabbed accused is a watch list criminal of Bairagarh police station. He was booked for around 10 burglaries, 3 thefts and 11 other crimes.
The accused confessed burglary in Bairagarh on November 30. In the burglary the accused escaped with one gold chain, one gold finger ring, one silver anklet and other goods were burgled.
Accused confessed that he started to gamble after he was released from jail few months ago and in the gambling after losing he could target vacant locked houses for burglary.
Police said that more revelations would be made by the accused in the further investigation. The accomplices who have helped the accused in disposing the goods and those who have committed burglaries with the accused would be searched. In the initial investigation the police have found that accused have committed burglaries and the details of those burglaries would be investigated.
