: The Misrod police have nabbed 27-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl who later committed suicide.
The victim committed suicide in August 2018 at her house in Chhan village and in the post mortem report it was revealed that the deceased was sexually assaulted. Based on the fact investigation was conducted and it was found that a man used to visit the house in the absence of parents of deceased. The police investigated to establish the identity of the accused and found that the accused was acquainted with the deceased and used to work near her house and developed relationship with her luring her of marriage. Later, in the investigation police have registered a case under section 305 and 376(2) (i) of the IPC and sections of POCSO Act.
