A youth was crushed to death by stones in front of the Padma Vidyalaya this morning. Police suspected the involvement of drug addicts in the murder. According to police sources the victim was mentally unstable.
According to Kampu police, on receipt of information from passerby, a police team reached the spot and recovered the blood smeared body near the gate of Padma Vidyala. Forensic expert Akhilesh Bhargav also reached the spot.
The local people told the police that the victim has been living in Nehru Park for the past several months. The police have recovered the mobile number of a relative of the victim and have informed him. The relative Deevan Singh told the police that the victim was admitted to a mental hospital but he had run away from there.
The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and are investigating the case. The police are searching for the local drug addicts whom they suspect could be involved in the murder.
Meanwhile, a security guard posted in Bhopal committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed revolver in Morena. The incident occurred at laxmi Colony on Tuesday night.
Sources in the police said that the guard, Narendra Singh, son of Sikarwar and aged around 40 years was a drunkard and was posted in Bhopal. He came home totally drunk and shot himself with his revolver. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started investigation.
