A 20-year-old youth was found murdered near an under-construction building in Ayodhya Nagar Colony, in Piplani locality, late on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Vijay Yadav.
According to the police, around 12.30 in the night a body was found in Ayodya Nagar area. The security guard of the colony spotted the body and informed the police.
After getting the information, a police team rushed to the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem.
Police said that victim’s throat was silted by a sharp edged weapon, which caused his death. The exact reason of death could be ascertained and details could be revealed after receiving post mortem report.
In the initial probe a youth of the same locality was detained on Monday but it is yet to be confirmed that the nabbed youth has killed the victim.
Police said that the detained youth Tinku, had a fight with the accused and later the victim was found murdered. The victim was spotted for the last time with Tinku which could be a reason suggesting that Tinku is involved in victim’s murder.
The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The victim hailed from Chhindwara district and was involved in construction work. He used to live alone in the city.
It was also revealed in the investigation that the fight between Tinku and Vijay occurred, when they were consuming liquor but the reason behind the fight is still unknown which would be investigated, told the police.
