A city youth was booked for sexually assaulting a 37-year-old Jabalpur-based woman; a complaint was lodged by the victim at Jabalpur and later the case was transferred to AJK police Bhopal.
According to AJK police the victim was sexually assaulted on the pretext of marrying her by the accused Pushparaj. The victim has been assaulted for the past three years during which she aborted once claimed the victim. The victim worked with an NGO in Jabalpur when she incidentally came in contact with the accused in the year 2014.
In her complaint, the victim told the police that she became acquainted with the accused in 2014 after she dialed a wrong mobile number. later, when she came to the city to meet the accused she was sexually assaulted by sedating her at Bhadbhada in a car and later on the pretext of marrying her she was sexually assaulted in the next few months. The victim got pregnant and forcefully aborted the child and accused refused to marry her after which the victim lodged a complaint of sexual assault.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, a case under section 376 of the IPC and section of SC/ST Prevention Act was registered by the police. The search for the accused has been started and would be nabbed soon told the police.
The details provided by the victim regarding the accused would be used in the investigation as it is possible that the accused had provided wrong details to the victim due to ill intentions.
