The youngest private investigator of the country Raffee Roy Chaudhary aka Mrinal Dutt was here in the city of lakes here on Thursday. He visited the city for the promotions of his ongoing thriller television series ‘Private Investigator (P.I)’ aired on Star Plus. Mrinal Dutt, has left no stone unturned to get the look right for the part.

He has designed the look of his character, private detective a little different from what was etched out originally. Since he plays a college student in the show, the character is seen wearing t-shirts. His hairstyle has also been grabbing a lot of attention as it is strikingly similar to British actor Benedict Cumberbatch's (actor who plays Sherlock Holmes) hairstyle.

In a candid talk with media persons Mrinal says, "I have given it a lot of thought and styled the character myself accordingly. A lot of people have told me that my hairstyle on the show resembles that of Benedict's. I am a big fan of the actor, but my look has got nothing to with his. I think it is just a coincidence, and a good one."

The actor also lost around five kilos to get a leaner body for the show. "They told me that I looked very muscular for the role, so I had to lose some weight. Since gymming does not help you lose muscle weight, I started running and playing badminton," he added. On his visit to Bhopal he said, “I am very happy to be in Bhopal and I am here to understand Bhopal and Bhopalites.”

It is the story of Raffe Roy Chaudhary who with his extraordinary observation skills goes about solving crimes that baffle even the police, defying the age old belief of age brings wisdom. Raffe, a 21 year old criminology student, fashions himself as a Private Investigator as a result of his solitary upbringing and the unanswered questions about his past.

Equipped with his unique observational skills and superior intellect, he teams up with the comical and simple-minded inspector Tiwari (Vrajesh Hirjee) to solve crimes. Raffe steps out in the dark and dangerous world of crime as the youngest private investigator solving one new case every week. Unlike the run of the mill detectives who is loud and boisterous, Raffe is calm and reserved.
