A 23-year-old woman died of cardiac arrest while dancing during a wedding function at a resort in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district on Saturday night.
The deceased, identified as Parinita Jain, was a resident of Indore and had come to Vidisha to attend her cousin’s wedding. The tragic incident was captured on video and later surfaced on social media.
According to eyewitnesses, Parinita was performing on stage during the haldi ceremony, which was attended by over 200 guests. She was dancing to the Bollywood song Lehra Ke Balkha Ke when she suddenly collapsed.
Family members, including doctors who were present at the function, immediately attempted CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), but she did not respond. She was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Parinita, an MBA graduate, lived with her parents in Indore’s South Tukoganj area. As per official information, her family has a history of heart-related ailments, with her younger brother having died of a heart attack at the age of 12.
This is not the first such incident in Madhya Pradesh. In October last year, a 15-year-old boy suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while playing cricket in Agar-Malwa district.
Authorities have not reported any foul play in Parinita’s death, and medical experts stress the importance of heart health awareness, even among young individuals.
