The young photographers of the city have put up their best shots in a group exhibition. The college students from across the country have displayed their finest clicks at the exhibition ‘lensense’ organised at Oriental Institution of Science and Technology.
The exhibition was put up at college gallery here on Wednesday. The youngsters are exploring the panache in them as far as photography is concerned. The exhibition was about providing a platform to display their talent before the spectators. Showcasing, around 350 pictures of 55 young photographers, the OIST has defined a stage for the photography lovers.
The OIST called for entries online for the photographers from different colleges of the country. After getting more than 1000 entries, the best 350 photographs were selected to be exhibited at the college.
It is to be noted that photographs are a powerful medium of expression. It is an art by which one can describe hues of life. The beauty of nature, the pretty smile of a lady, the angry child, friends standing together in a field, elephants walking, chirping of birds, companionship of two lover, the mystic sky all the feelings could be seen in the artistic perception.
The photographs were a pure work done by the students and most of the pictures were original, where no manipulation was done.
The kind of work differs from the usual realm of their creativity expressing the emotions. One could find such pieces of art dealing with the worldly things.
