Madhya Pradesh Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is attempting to save himself by not recommending CBI probe in the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, as such a scam is not possible without his consent.
The Youth Congress activists led by Manoj Shukla demonstrated in a unique way at Prabhat petrol pump square, where they had established an MPPEB corruption centre ‘Shiv-Sadhna’ and posts of various professionals such as doctors, engineers and cops were auctioned symbolically.
Another leader Amit Sharma, who was also present on the occasion, said the scam has left public in a State of shock, hence Chief Minister should tender his resignation.
Both the Youth Congress leaders alleged that on Tuesday, the activists were cane-charged while a peaceful demonstration against the scam was in progress in front of Home Minister Babulal Gaur’s residence. “We were only trying to draw Gaur’s attention towards CBI enquiry demand, but the way the activists were treated clearly indicates that Government is challenging our patience,” he alleged.
Chief Minister is conducting the enquiry by Special task Force (STF) and not accepting the demand to get it probed by the CBI; this clearly shows his intentions. Factually, the Youth Congress leaders stated that the MPPEB scam is a sensitive issue and it needs a central level enquiry. “The chief minister is feared because he knows that if the case is handed over to the central agency, Chief Minister and his relatives will be exposed,” they added.
Manoj Shukla further said that the scam is related to the future of students and dream of their parents.
