Commerce and Industries Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia reviews water supply schemes of Shivpuri city at Mantralaya. Scindia directed to immediately start work to remove clear water, raw water pipelines from stretch of national highway.
Scindia said that remaining works of water treatment plant under water augmentation scheme and overhead tanks should be completed at the earliest so that adequate drinking water arrangements should be made in the city for next summer. She instructed for hydraulic testing of pipeline laid under the scheme so far. She directed for efforts to start Shivpuri water supply scheme by January 2016 and necessary alternative arrangements to ensure that drinking water crisis does not occur in the city next summer. Scindia directed to pay attention to quality in road restoration under Shivpuri sewerage project.
Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment Malay Shrivastava, Principal Secretary PHE Ashwini Kumar Rai, Collector Shivpuri Rajiv Dube attended the meeting.
