The State Congress would take stock of the loss suffered by the peasants due to unseasoned rains and hailstorms last days.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president and MP Arun Yadav embarked on a two-day tour on Monday morning to personally access the loss of crops and to ascertain the ground reality of the loss surveys.
During the two day road tour, the State Congress Chief would meet peasants of Raisen, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Burhanpur and Khandwa. MPCC organisational in-charge vice president Rameshwar Neekhra and vice president Manak Agarwal are accompanying Yadav.
Yadav after meeting the suffering farmers of Raisen, Sehore and Hoshangabad and taking stock of the losses of crops said in the evening that the work of survey is going on at very slow pace.
The suffering farmers are dissatisfied with the slow pace and the way of survey because they feel that the speed at which survey is going on would hamper chances of getting compensation, he added.
Yadav assured the suffering farmers that the Congress party is with them in this hour of crisis and would not let injustice done with them.
The local Congress party workers are also keeping eye on the survey procedure and wherever they would see any irregularity would raise the issue at local level with the help of farmers, he added.
Yadav was accorded warm welcome by the Congress workers and office bearers besides farmers and locals during his road trip at Mandideep, Obedullahgunj, Salkanpur and Rehti.
Farmers told their woes to him during his visit and said that they have fallen in financial crisis due to the untimely rains and hailstorms and if they did not get justified compensation immediately from the State G0overnment than they would be in more crisis.
After visiting the villages of Raisen, Sehore and Hoshangabad Yadav proceeded to Burhanpur.
