Yadav calls on chief secy over IAS officers' conduct

State Congress has registered strong apprehensions over two Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers’ visit to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office and giving presentation before the saffron party State executive.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president and former Union Minister Arun Yadav on Monday called on chief secretary Anthony de Sa and registered objection over the conduct of IAS Rajesh Rajora and SK Mishra.

Notably, Rajora and Mishra reached BJP office on Saturday and made presentation of government schemes before the State executive of BJP. Yadav told the chief secretary that the conduct of both the IAS officers is clear violation of service rules. “Rajora and Mishra first reached the BJP state office on Friday evening and met the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sah Sarkaryavah (joint general-secretary) Suresh Soni and BJP office bearers and on the next day Rajora again visits the BJP office and made presentation of government schemes before the state executive of BJP.”

Yadav further said that the effrontery move of Rajora to made presentation before BJP State executive in presence of union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Thanwarchand Gehlot and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan shows that he was having very high level patronage. The IAS officers move to participate in ruling political party’s program proves that do not have any fear in violating the All India Service rules, he added.

He told the chief secretary that it is the first incidence in the history of state that has ashamed the whole administrative system. To stop repetition of the act it is necessary that strict action should be taken against the guilty officers, he added.

He said that no officer could dare to take such a foolish move without strong political patronage. The act also shows that the ruling party is out to do saffronisation of the administration system in the state, he added.
