There was cuteness overloaded and the fizzy shades of innocence spread all through the atmosphere when the kids walked over the ramp with confidence.
Observing the World Down Syndrome Day, a ramp walk with an entirely different concept was organised at Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) on Tuesday. The Bhopalites went totally spell bind when they saw children suffering with Down syndrome walking over the ramp enthusiastically and confidently.
It was a sight to watch, as the kids stole the entire show with their innocence and cuteness. The theme of the ramp walk was Traditions of India.
The kids wondrously spread the vibrant colours of India as they walked over the ramp. Some were dressed as Gujarati and some were dressed as Rajasthani, some were dressed as Maharashtrian and some depicted the culture of Kashmir. Each depiction by the participants was beautiful and elegant and different from each other.
The event was jointly organised by Sankalp group of BSSS and Composite Regional Centre, Bhopal. The event began traditionally with lighting the lamp. IPS Pawan Jain was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing the audience, he said, “We should always be loveable and caring towards these children and should not make them realize that they are weak. These kids have more energy and more confidence than us.”
While informing about the event, Professor Manju Mehta said that these special kids are always in need of love and happiness.
Through this event they were not only happy but spread a smile on the faces of audiences here.
