A one-day workshop on ‘Safer Digital Space – A Right for Every Woman and Girl’ was held at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) to mark International Women’s Day on Friday.

Organised under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase III, MEITY, Government of India, the event aimed to educate women and girls about cybersecurity and digital threats.

Prof Meenu Chawla and Prof Sweta Jain of the CSE Department coordinated the workshop, which featured Irmeen Shah, Assistant Inspector General (Training) and Superintendent of Police, ITI Bhopal, as the chief guest.

Prof Meenu Chawla outlined the workshop’s objectives, while Prof Sweta Jain delivered the vote of thanks. The event saw active participation from faculty members, staff, and students, who engaged in discussions and sought expert advice on digital security. Prof Alka Bharat, Dean (Faculty Welfare), and RK Pateriya, HoD Computer Science Engineering, were also present.
