Opposition of former BJP MP Chandrabhan Singh lodhi reached the State capital from Damoh, as several district BJP office-bearers met the BJP state president and state organisational general secretary to register their protest on Tuesday.
Fractions in Damoh BJP surfaced wide open after a delegate headed by Damoh BJP president Narendra Vyas and district organisational secretary Raman Khatri met BJP state president Nandkumar Chouhan and BJP state organizational general secretary Arvind Menon at the BJP state headquarters. Around three dozen BJP party bearers visited BJP State headquarters to raise their opposition.The return of former expelled BJP MP Chandrabhan Singh lodhi attracted opposition from the day he returned in the BJP and the opposition was recently fuelled after the possibility of lodhi’s selection for an important post in party organization were aired.
lodhi’s return was facilitated in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan but after his return to the BJP, discontent prevailed among the Damoh BJP leaders and workers and they demanded reviewing the decision of the lodhi’s return.In the whole episode Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya is seen behind endorsing the opposition as he managed to win Damoh state assembly seat.
After the return of former expelled BJP MP Chandrabhan Singh lodhi, Damoh BJP was divided into two fractions, one was pro Jayant Malaiya and the other who were not in favour of Malaiya started supporting lodhi.After losing with a narrow margin of 400 votes to Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya in the state assembly elections, former BJP MP Chandrabhan Singh lodhi is not ready to make life easier for Finance Minister Malaiya.
