Pouring vitriol on the Centre’s policies, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary and Madhya Pradesh In-charge Ananth Kumar on Tuesday quipped that the Congress model is for the “khaas aadmi” (special man).
“I am cautioning workers guilty of indiscipline as that will not be tolerated,” he said here while addressing the inaugural session of a two-day Working Committee meeting of the saffron party’s State unit.
Kumar issued a clarion call to parliamentarians, legislators, other public representatives and workers to get busy in preparations for the general elections. Kumar earlier inaugurated the two-day State office bearers meet.
The BJP that scored hattrick in the Assembly elections on state seems to be afraid of the increasing impact of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the State. During the State working meet on the one hand the happiness of victory was seen on the faces of party leaders and on the other hand they were seen frightened with the growing impact of AAP.
Addressing the party office bearers on the occasion Kumar said that we should politely take the victory in the recently held Assembly elections of the State and by being afferent we should get committed for governance and development. Party legislators, parliamentarians, other elected representatives and office bearers should take pledge that they would consider public aspirations as supreme and would administer Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s statement that we are public servants not rulers in their lives, Kumar added.
“Madhya Pradesh by following new model of governance would emerge as model State in the country,” Kumar said adding that Congress model of development is for the special people contrary to that the BJP by follows Antyodya model of development and always remain committed for the public welfare.
Earlier, Kumar along with party national vice president and MP Prabhat Jha, national general secretary Thanwarchand Gehlot, national secretary Sudha Malaiya, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state president and MP Narendra Singh Tomar, senior leader and former Chief Mnister of State Sundarlal Patwa, MP Kailash Joshi, Senior Minister Babulal Gaur, Kaptan Singh Solanki, national president of Schedule Caste and Tribe Cell Phaggan Singh Kulaste, State Organisational general secretary Arvind Menon, senior leaders Vikram Verma, Satyanarayan Jatiya, Prahlad Patel and others lighted the traditional lamp and paid floral tributes sachems.
BJP State president Narendra Singh Tomar and Bhopal district president Alok Sharma welcomed the guests by presenting flower bouquets.
Tomar in his address on the occasion said, “BJP would contest the parliamentary elections on its own strength and would win 272 seats to form its Government at the centre in the leadership of Narendra Modi.”
