Virtual symposium was organized at Patel Group of Institutions, Madhyanchal Professional University on Wednesday.
In the virtual symposium Major General GD Bakshi, Army Medal, Special Service Medal (RITA 4), Brigadier R Vinayak, Special Service Medal (RITA 4), Air Commandor Mirgendra Singh, Special Service Medal (RITA 4) were present as Chief Guest.
Preeti Patel, Chancellor Madhyanchal Professional University, Ajit Singh Patel, Prof. Chancellor and Air Vice Marshal, PK Srivastava, Special Service Medal (RITA 4) Vice Chancellor Madhyanchal Professional University connected with students through virtual meet.
The symposium was about what role educational institutions should play in preparing students for the Indian Defense Forces.
On this, Major General GD Bakshi said that all educational institutions should connect people associated with the Indian Defense Army, so that the work of the Army is known to young minds and make the students aware of the process of recruitment. With this more students can set their objective to join the army.
He shared many of his military experiences with students such as his experience in the 1971 India-Pakistan and 1962 India-China war. Brigadier R. Vinayak told that N.C.C. should be compulsory in all educational institutions and that more and more students get NCC training should be ensured so that the students have more opportunities to join the army going forward.
He also said that it should be added to the retired army seniors so that they can get a job even after retirement and create an atmosphere of discipline in colleges and universities .
Air commander Mirgendra Singh said that the talented people in the villages who want to join the Indian Defense Army are not aware of what they should do to join the Indian Defense Force, and to help them colleges and universities can play a big role. This can be done by connecting them to the Indian Defense Army.
Air Vice Marshal PK Srivastava, Special Service Medal welcomed all the guests and gave information about them. In this seminar, R. K. Rai, Director Patel Group of Institutions were also present and Prof. Saurabh Mandloi thanked all the guests.
