A 28-year old woman was sexually assaulted and exploited for the past two months on the promise of marriage at Shiv Nagar under Chhola Mandir police station area; a complaint was lodged by victim on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Surendra Rajput in the name of marrying her and in the months of August he left Bhopal and returned to Rajasthan and stopped all communications with the victim.
Based on the complaint police have registered a case under section 376(2) of the IPC and started investigation.
The victim came into contact with the accused at a religious function in Obedullaganj after she left her husband who used to fight frequently after having liquor and after she met accused they started communication. Later as the victim used to live at a rented house in Shiv Nagar accused came and started to live with her and sexually assaulted her and in the month of August returned to Rajasthan where he belonged.
The victim lodged a complaint with the police was registered and after the preliminary investigation police have registered case against the accused and started search for the accused. Police team could visit Rajasthan to investigate case.
