A 42-year-old married woman was sexually assaulted by the accused and molested by his aide at Arjun Nagar under MP Nagar police station area. A case of sexual assault was registered on Monday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the miscreant identified as Naushad alias Lalli and Shamim molested her when the victim had gone to return the borrowed money.
In her complaint, the victim told the police that she borrowed Rs 2,000 from the accused. The accused asked her to return the money and when she said that she would return money, she was asked to visit Arjun Nagar house on Monday. When she went there to provide the money, Naushad was having liquor with Shamim. Then, he sexually assaulted the victim at knife point. Later, she was molested by Shamim too.
The victim was later dropped at Qazi camp area. The victim approached Jehangirabad police where a case of zero FIR was registered and later, the case was transferred to MP Nagar police.
Initially, the victim kept mum but later, she mustered courage and reported the incident to her husband who told her to lodge a complaint against the accused.
The police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police have raided few places but failed to nab the accused who went absconding. The victim lives at Nishatpura area and was acquainted with victim’s relative who introduced her to the accused.
