A woman was relieved of her gold chain worth Rs2 lakh by two bike borne miscreants at Krishna Enclave under Misrod police station area on Saturday. According to the police at around 2.20 pm on Saturday the victim Madhumati Maheshwaram was robbed of her gold chain near her apartment by two bike borne miscreants.
Victim lodged a complaint with the Misrod police and in the complaint victim claimed that on Saturday afternoon she had gone to pick her daughter, whose school bus drops her near the house and while she was waiting and talking with her neighbor, two bike borne miscreants arrived and asked her regarding an address, she told about the address and after providing address when she turned towards her neighbor the miscreants attacked her and escaped with the gold chain. Before the victim could understand and raise alarm, the miscreants managed to escape the spot.
Gold chain weighing 70 gm worth Rs2 lakh was robbed claimed the victim in her complaint. The victim has provided details about the miscreants and based on the information provided by the victim search for the miscreants has been started by the police. The police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Targeting woman in broad day light could be done only if one is aware of the area and the traffic in the area, which suggests that the miscreants have planned the robbery and were aware that the victim used to wait near house for her daughter.
