A 34-year-old woman was sexually exploited for the past three years in the name of marriage in Ayodhya Nagar, a complaint was lodged by the victim on Saturday, accused escaped after the case was registered.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused, Hari Krishna for the past three years on the pretext of marriage. The victim used to work at private firm.
The victim came into contact with the accused around three years ago as they belong to same community and live in the same area. The victim hails from Kerala and works with a private firm and the family of the accused also hails from Kerala. The victim became acquainted with the accused .
The two developed friendship and in 2018, the victim was raped and lured her of marriage. Later, he used to sexually exploit her several times. Recently, when the victim asked for marriage accused refused and threatened her. Thereafter, she lodged a complaint with the police.
Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC. After the complaint was lodged, the police registered a case.
