A 45-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her residence in Mathakund village under Gunga police station area on Saturday.According to the police, the deceased Sakuna Bai was found hanging in the afternoon by the family members. Police were informed and based on the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased committed suicide late in the afternoon. The deceased after having lunch went to her room and later she was found hanging by her parents at around 2 pm and was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police have not found any suicide note and no reason was found behind the suicide. The reason would be investigated.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
