A 26-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her Sarwadharam Colony under Kolar police station area on Friday.
According to the police, Deepti Purohit was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The husband of victim works with travel agency and at the time of the incident had gone to market and when he returned the victim was found hanging. The deceased got married two years ago with Abhisek.
In the initial investigation police have recovered a suicide note but no reason has been mentioned in the suicide note.
Investigation to find the reason behind the suicide would be conducted. The deceased was adopted daughter of Speaker of state assembly Sitasaran Sharma’s
sister.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old youth committed suicide by jumping into the Upper lake under Talaiya police station area on Friday.
According to the police a youth jumped into the upper lake in the afternoon and was later fished out by the divers.
Police said that the deceased was identified as Rohit Thakur a resident of Career College.
During the investigation police found that the deceased along with his mother and brother moved to his uncle’s house in the city after his father’s death.
The deceased hailed from Indore. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
