Doctors at AIIMS Bhopal performed another miracle when Diwakar (name changed) and his wife Sunita (name changed), residents of Sagar, were blessed with a baby. When Sunita was five months pregnant, she came to know that she was suffering from blood cancer. The doctors in Sagar found out in the preliminary investigation that Sunita was suffering from blood cancer, but due to the child growing in the womb of five months, they raised their hands and referred her to AIIMS Bhopal.
On reaching here, Dr. Sachin Bansal, cancer specialist consoled the patient and his family members and advised them to get proper treatment for cancer. During the entire pregnancy, the cancer treatment of the patient and saving the life of the child was a challenging task in itself, which the doctors here performed brilliantly. During this Sunita was given a total of four sessions of chemotherapy. During this, Gynecologist Dr. Ajay Haldhar, Dr Pushpalata and Neonatologist Dr. Chetan Khare provided all kinds of help to the patient and normal delivery of the child was done with the help of their team.
The couple is overjoyed to give birth to a perfectly healthy baby. Today they have got discharge from AIIMS hospital and are not tired of thanking the doctors and staff of AIIMS.
