Kolar police have registered a case of fraud on a complaint of Retired IAS officer Salina Singh (61) against the retired deputy director of the Woman and Child Development Department, Mamta Pathak.

In her complaint, Singh has claimed that Mamata Pathak has faked Aadhaar and claimed her late husband retired IAS MK Singh as her husband. Transferred Rs 53.70 lakh from his bank account (FD) to her account. They also took the death certificate of MK Singh from the Municipal Corporation on fake Aadhaar. Later a fake will of his property was also prepared.

Salina Singh was living separately from her husband MK Singh. MK Singh passed away on March 14, 2022. He has a son and daughter. Daughter Dr. Mahak Singh lives in London, while son Mannat Singh lives in New York.

Mamata Pathak has made two Aadhar cards with addresses 'Siddh Gopal Danish View 1/86'  and  'Danish Hills View 1/75', describing herself as the wife of Mahesh Kumar Singh.

It is alleged that Mamta Pathak prepared a fake will which was received on October 8,  2021 at 10 pm, but it was registered on March 23, 2022, while MK Singh's death was wrongly dated March 14, 2022.

Salina Singh said that MK Singh's health was not good and Mamta Pathak took advantage.

An FIR of fraud has also been registered against Mamata Pathak in Chunabhatti police station earlier. A case was filed against him by Ashish Arora whose POA was taken by MK Singh and on his death Mamta hastily sold the property to M/s Meghnam Sanstha for Rs 1.11 crore in the month of May but did not provide money to Ashish and when asked for money she provided two cheques. On July 20, Ashish deposited the first cheque of Rs 54 lakhs in the bank for payment, but Mamta stopped the payment and let the cheque dishonored.
