A 26-year-old woman died of burn injuries after her clothes caught fire while cooking late in the evening at her house in Kadaiya village under Nazeerabad police station area on Monday.
Police said that the deceased got injured at her house at Kadaiya and was taken to hospital where she died during treatment. According to the police, the deceased Nivida Solanki sustained burn injuries at her house and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died.\
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries while cooking which would be investigated. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The reason of the fire was falling of chimney over her saree which soon spread and she sustained severe injuries. The injuries proved fatal for Nivida. The deceased was a housewife and at the time of the incident she was alone at the house and cooking.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old youth died who consumed poisonous substance on Sunday at his house in Karond and in the night on Monday he died during treatment.The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. During the investigation police have not found any reason behind the suicide and said that the reason would be investigated.
