Three persons, including a woman involved in the murder of a 35-year-old man at Goya Colony, were arrested on Sunday. According to the police, the victim Dinesh Vishwakarma used to visit the assailant, Rajesh Vishwakarma. When he went missing on June 16, Rajesh along with his family disappeared mysteriously.
On June 30, Rajesh and family were nabbed from Takshashila colony. When they were questioned, Rajesh accepted to have killed Dinesh. He told that on June 16, Dinesh came to his house in an inebriated condition and started harassing Rajesh’s wife Geeta and demanded to take Rajesh’s daughter with him.
Shocked with the behaviour, Geeta informed Rajesh after which he rushed to his house and told Dinesh to leave but Dinesh was adamant and repeatedly abused and harassed Rajesh’s wife and daughter.
Incensed by the demand, Geeta’s son Rajat tied Dinesh with the chair while Rajesh strangulated him to death. Next day the body was put into a gunny bag and was taken dumped at Patra Nullah, while his mobile phone was thrown at Habibganj under bridge. Rajesh used the motorbike brought by Dinesh for dumping the body and the mobile phone and later left the motorbike near Shahpura lake. In the afternoon when Dinesh’s wife Krishna came searching for her husband, Rajat told that that he had come yesterday but left after sometime.
When Krishna was not able to find Dinesh she called Rajesh in the evening and warned that she will inform police after which Rajesh along with his family disappeared but he was nabbed on June 30.
Police said the accused and victim are relatives and on June 16 the victim had gone to collect money from the accused. The police have arrested the three but the police have not recovered the motorbike and mobile phone yet.
