A case of sexual assault was registered with the Nishatputra police on Sunday.
According to the police, a 32-year-old woman, who got divorced few years ago, has been living with the accused Omprakash, in live-in arrangement.
But the victim faced atrocity from the accused and frustrated over the behaviour of the accused the victim lodged a complaint with the Nishatpura police on Sunday.
In her complaint the victim has alleged that the accused barged into her house on April 17 and was raped at knifepoint. The victim did not lodge a complaint on the day of the incident but reported the matter after four days.
After preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under Section 376. The accused Omprakash was arrested after the complaint was lodged by the victim. Interestingly the victim has been divorced twice in the past and after her second divorce she started living with the victim.
The victim is a resident of Housing Board Colony and lives with her two children from her past marriages.
Earlier when the victim started working with a manufacturing unit, she became acquainted with the accused who also work at the unit. Soon the two developed relationship and started living in a live-in arrangement but the clash between the two still remains secret, which prompted the victim to lodge a case against the accused which would be investigated, the police informed.
