MP Anusuchit Jati Vikas Evam kalyan Samiti (Women Shelter Home ) has done a great job when they helped an abandoned woman from Odisha State found at Bhopal railway station on August 9.

Women Shelter Home Director Sher Afzal Khan said that the woman named Suman alias Jayanti was admitted in the lady Hospital by one auto driver when he felt she was in bad condition after she gave birth of healthy child. She was provided care in the hospital.

After 8 days they sent her to the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa charity centre ) and her baby was sent to Kilkari Shishu Grah but in Mother Teresa  centre the woman was  in disturbed state as she kept crying for her baby. Director of Mother Teresa  informed District Women Empowerment Officer Bhopal Prabhat Singh Thakur who brought baby from Kilkaari and handed over to  the lady but Director of Mother Teresa centre denied to keep woman because the charity centre keeps only mentally unstable women and they don’t keep their child.

Then Thakur shifted Suman and her baby  to Women Shelter Home run by DWEO where she was provided care.

According to room mates in shelter home she was mentally unstable but after strenuous effort done by the association and with the help of interpreter the whole story was unfolded.

Doctor Shilpa Dodani told the counselors that she is mentally fit but was upset and depressed which are common during pregnancies. later on the Shelter Home intervened and found her home addressed in the Orissa to which she was shifted.

Minister of Women and Child Development Maya Singh congratulated the MP Anusuchit Jati Vikas Evam kalyan Samiti and DWEO for the brilliant effort made by them.
