A 55-year-old woman died and her man escaped with injuries after the bike was hit by a speeding truck on their way to Kahjuri near Dobara village under Eithkhiedi police station area on Saturday.
The deceased identified as Gomati Bai was mowed down by truck from which hit the truck from behind while her husband Ramdwarika Sharma escaped with injuries.
The injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital women was declared dead while escaped with injuries.
After the preliminary investigation body was sent for the post mortem. Police have registered a case under section 304A of the IPC.
The truck driver escaped the spot and is still unidentified. Meanwhile a 30-year-old man died while his wife escaped with injuries after their bike was hit by a speeding truck at Golkhedi village under Eithkhedi police station area on Saturday. The incident took place at around 11.30 in the night when the couple was on its way to Nazeerabad when their bike was hit by a speeding truck. The man identified as Saudan Singh was declared dead whiles his wife. Mathura Bai escaped with injuries.
Police said that after completing work at Karond the couple was on its way to home and when they reached Golkhedi they were hit by a speeding truck.
The registration number of the truck and other details remained unknown and would be investigated in the further investigation. The condition of the escaped woman is reportedly critical. Police have registered case and started investigation.
