Working with grandchildren of Haseena on-screen was a lifetime experience, shared actress Shraddha Kapoor.
Shraddha was in Bhopal on Friday along with her brother Siddhant Kapoor and co-actor Ankur Bhatia for the promotional activity of her upcoming movie ‘Haseena Parkar’. In a rendezvous with The Pioneer, Shraddha shared her experience as ‘Haseena Parkar’ and shared about the tuning with her family on sets. Based on the real-life story of Haseena, sister of Dawood Ibrahim, the movie is directed by Apoorva lakhia.
Shraddha is playing the protagonist in the movie and said it was really challenging for her to get into the shoes of Haseena.
Shraddha who is better known for playing romantic roles and is considered as a youth icon, said that she had to work a lot on her personality to play this role.“I think this is one of the most terrific roles I have done till now. I had to ask people connected to her and talked to her family members to know how Haseena was,” shared Shraddha.
On asking about the research for the role, Shraddha said, “I read ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ to know Haseena, but could not find her name even in that book too. Then I had a meeting with the family members of Haseena to get to know her more.”
Shraddha said that it were the grandchildren and other relatives of Haseena that helped her to work on this role.
Interestingly, Sidhhant who is playing the role of Dawood Ibrahim is Shraddha’s real brother. Besides, Ankur Bhatia who is from Bhopal essayed the role of Haseena’s husband Ibrahim.
Shraddha signed off saying, “I had to showcase variants of shades of a woman who has undergone so much. This role will always remain close to my heart.”
