The district administration on Monday said that farmers in the district can register for wheat procurement at support prices until the last day of March.
District Supply Controller, Meena Malakar, said farmers can register themselves through their own mobile or computer, or at the service centres set up in the Gram Panchayat offices, cooperative societies, and at MP Online Kiosks, Common Service Centres, and Public Service Centres, with a fee of Rs 50, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM until 31st March 2025.
Malakar also mentioned that registrations for sharecroppers, tenants, and forest landholders will be done at the centres of cooperative marketing societies.
A farmer’s registration will be valid only if the name in the land records and Khasra (land record) matches the name on their Aadhaar card. The Aadhaar number will be verified through an OTP sent to the linked mobile number or through biometric devices.
All family members whose names are listed in the land records must register separately. If the farmer’s land is in another district, registration will be done in that district.
She urged farmers to ensure that they complete the registration within the stipulated timeframe to avoid disappointment.
