On the occasion of the 114th foundation day of the Punjab & Sind Bank, Zonal Manager, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh) Manoj Singh said that the bank is committed to provide excellent service to its customers.
The Punjab & Sind Bank celebrated its 114th Foundation Day throughout the country and branches in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, various programs were organized in the zonal office and all the branches of the bank.
On June 24 1908, the bank started its operations from Amritsar (Punjab). In the year 1908, when the idea of raising the standard of living of the poorest of the poor of the country came in the mind of the visionary and learned persons like Bhai Vir Singh, Sir Sunder Singh Majithia and Sardar Trilochan Singh, the Punjab and Sind Bank came into existence.
Punjab and Sind Bank is one of the major nationalized banks. It has 1526 branches all over India. The headquarters of this bank is in New Delhi. The bank has been working for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society since its inception.
