Upholding the world-class quality of our products, we must ensure timely delivery of our products as per customer specification, opined Atul Sobti, Chairman and Managing Director BHEl in a programme held at Administration Building BHEl, Bhopal addressing the officers of the organisation. On this occasion DK Thakur, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal; Kishore Purswani, Executive Director Corporate Monitoring, BHEl and other senior officials were present.
Sobti visiting the Swarna Jayanti Block, Block-II, UHV lab, New Transformer Block, Traction Block and CET lab assessed the available facilities in the block and urged the employees at each block to ensure the quality of the products to avoid any type of rework. Referring to the low order possibilities from coal based thermal power plant he said that there is ample opportunity in other areas especially for the products manufactured by Bhopal unit. The unit holds a significant place at corporation level and it has to further move ahead delivering positive results.
later, in an interaction session with the young engineers Sobti asked the engineers to continuously keep on acquiring knowledge. In recent times any organisation or individual can become successful who keeps on updating their skill. He also informed the gathering of the new business areas being explored by the organisation.
Sobti also held discussion with the Trade union representatives on issues ranging from performance of the unit, order book position and other important areas. The union has been playing an important role in the growth status of the organisation, added Sobti asking the union representatives to give suggestions independently for the progress of the organisation.
Thakur gave a presentation on the results of the unit for the second quarter ending. He said that the employees of Bhopal unit are committed in achieving the target of the unit. He further informed the gathering of the innovative steps taken by the unit for producing better quality products and design. Thakur also thanked the CMD for the assistance extended by the Corporate Office. Earlier, the other day Sobti also visited different wards, Pathological lab, New OPD of Kasturba Hospital. SK Gupta, Chief Medical Services also apprised Sobti of various aspects of the hospital.
