The West Central Railway would provide round the clock service in 30 warehouses. Transport of mall traffic through invert and outvert average of 587 rakes in a month in goods sheds is done.
West Central Railway has always been in the forefront of expanding the facilities for freight customers, industry and rail users involved in transport business and commercial activities.
Railways is moving ahead in promoting new dimensions of goods traffic and providing better facilities. In order to provide better facilities to West Central Railway traders and beneficiaries, round the clock services have been provided in 30 warehouses of all the three divisions.
Out of total 62 warehouses of WCR, in all three divisions, Jabalpur, 18 warehouses, Bhopal 09 warehouses and Kota 03 warehouses, including 30 goods sheds, are available round the clock. And in total 32 goods sheds including Jabalpur 11 warehouses, Bhopal 09 warehouses and Kota 12 warehouses, services are available for sixteen hours (from 06 am to 22 pm). Due to which mall traffic is being transported through invert/outvert of an average of 587 rakes in a month in the goods sheds of WCR.
In Jabalpur Division 18 warehouses for 24 hours services are available In Bhopal division 24 hours service is available in Harda, Itarsi, Mandideep, Nishatpura, Guna, Shajapur, Pachor Road, Shivpuri and Sorai warehouses of Bhopal division.
Twenty four hours services are available in Kota, Baran and Bharatpur warehouses of Kota Division. There has also been an increase in the availability of rakes for loading more and more goods traffic
