A warm public reception was accorded to Haryana’s Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on this arrival at Bhopal for the first time after becoming Governor, on Monday. At the function held with cooperation of Bhopal Municipal Corporation, distinguished citizens greeted Solanki and congratulated him on getting the new responsibility.
Describing the public reception as Ashirwad Samaroh, Solanki said that blessings are needed when a person’s life and role change. He said that instead of getting depressed by adverse conditions in life, one needs to defeat them. He said that resolve, dedication, activeness and discipline are keys to meaningful life. He said that life is meaningless without goals.
Describing Solanki a Karmayogi of charismatic personality, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that he has never been after posts. He is still performing his duties like a Karmayogi. Chouhan said that Solanki groomed political leadership inculcating in them national ethos and always preferred to be in the role of strategist and guide.
MP and State BJP President Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan referred to anecdotes of Solanki’s persona and philosophy of life. He said that Solanki is a person who adorns high offices. He resides in hearts of thousands of workers. Mayor Krishna Gaur said that living upto philosophy of Ekatma Manavwad in real terms, Solanki became a source of inspiration for new generation. Gaur read out a citation in honour of Shri Solanki. She felicitated Kaptan Singh Solanki and his wife Rani Solanki with shawls and coconuts.
Union Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, former Chief Ministers Sunderlal Patwa and Kailash Joshi, Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta, Health Minister Narottam Mishra, Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla and others were present on the occasion.
