The art lovers of the city had a close look at the unusual phase of abstract art in a solo painting exhibition that began here on Tuesday. The exhibition was put up by a noted artist, Ravi Waghle, at Rangdarshini Gallery, Bharat Bhavan.

Organised by Roopabh series of fine arts Bharat Bhavan, the exhibition would be on display till May 25. With 14 paintings on display Waghle has beautifully showcased the world of clouds on canvas.

He has beautifully illustrated the other version of abstract art not only with the use or geometrical figures, giving the paintings a refined finishing touch with the combined use of dull and vibrant colours magnificently.

His creations are highly appreciated by viewers as they walk through the gallery. Moreover, the paintings that are presented before the visitors maintain the pristine beauty of form and colour that is to be identified and named according to visitor’s perceptions.

Waghle said, “It is often seen that painters work on a particular pattern, but I wanted to do something different, so I have explained my views in a different way with displaying the different shapes of clouds.” Elaborating further, he said, “My brush moves on the canvas according to my wish and perceptions and so I do not allow this artistic view to follow a single track.” Art has no boundaries and perception of an artist grows as he works upon it, he added further.

“It is the desire of a painter what he wants to portray no matter in what manner. It may be the scribbled lines, curls or other forms. An artist paints what comes to his mind as art will be considered art, it does not matter in what way,” he added further.
