Violent protest was staged by the locals after an assistant Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) was mowed down by a speeding vehicle near Reliance Fresh store under Bagh Sewania police station area on Wednesday.
According to the police, at around 10.30 am Anil Dube (53) was on his way to back to home after dropping his son at a bus stop. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.Police were informed and after preliminary investigation a case under section 304 A of the IPC. The body was handed over to the family members after post mortem for last rites. The family members have taken the body to Indore for performing last rites.
Victim's son is pursuing his engineering from a private college and the accident occurred when the victim was returning after dropping his son who used to catch bus for college. As soon as the victim was hit by the truck the errant driver escaped the spot. The truck bearing registration number MP 04 GA 9051 was seized by the police. The truck hit the motorbike head on which proved fatal for the victim.Victim was a resident of Rajat Vihar colony and met the accident while on his way back to home.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old youth was hit by a speeding truck at Baria village under Bagh Sewania police station area on Wednesday.Protesting the death, locals went fierce and blocked the road creating road jam for around an hour demanding compensation. They were pacified after the officials of police and administration intervened.
The victim Rizwan who used to work for Signature Group was on his way to work when his motorbike was hit by a speeding truck on Wednesday.The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the India Penal Code and have started further investigation.
