Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the work of tree plantation and environment protection is taking the form of a campaign in Madhya Pradesh. Citizens are planting saplings on their family members' birthdays, marriage anniversaries and in the memory of departed relatives.
Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with the representatives of TV news channels at Smart Garden today. He informed that 4088 inaugurations and foundation stones of 3049 development works have been laid in the Vikas Yatras which started from February 5. Vikas Yatras are becoming a Yagya for public welfare.
While giving the details of the Vikas Yatras, CM Chouhan said that the dedication and Bhoomi-pujan done during the yatras are important from the point of view of public welfare. He said that the benefits of various schemes are being given to the beneficiaries. In fact, a significant work of service has become possible through Yatra in the state. Along with the beneficiaries, benefits are also being given to those found eligible in the Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan. If any beneficiaries have been left out in the campaign and they are eligible, then they will also get the benefit of the schemes.
Chief Minister Chouhan told that other eligible people have also come forward during the yatra. Their number is 40 thousand 956.
Getting such a large number of applications is proof that the eligible beneficiaries for the schemes came forward for the first time to take advantage of these schemes. Chief Minister Chouhan informed that out of the applications received, 34 thousand 234 applications have been accepted. Apart from this, if any other eligible person or Divyang is found, then they are also being benefitted. The effort is how to make people's lives better. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Vikas Yatra is not just a ritual. The aim of the state government is to benefit all the eligible beneficiaries identified. Vikas Yatras are becoming a powerful means of providing benefits of various schemes to the citizens.
