The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that it would get historic mandate in the five States scheduled to go to the polls in April–May this year.
BJP national general secretary and West Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvarigya in a statement here on Monday said, “The charisma of unexpected mandate that BJP got during the 16th lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Narendra Modi and the way BJP registered victory on 7 of the 12 by-polls held recently indicates that the BJP would get historic mandate in all the five states that would go to polls in April – May this year.”
Vijayvarigya further said that this strategy would also work in West Bengal. The party organization has become active in West Bengal and the party workers have tied up their laces to face Trinamool Congress. The Mamata Banerjee led government of the West Bengal did not met the expectations of the people.
The State patronage to illegal Bangladeshi migrants has not only increased the problems of the local residents there but has also made the demographic situation unfavorable for the locals, he added.
He alleged that the West Bengal Government is near to the makers of fake currency, laudanum producers and drugs mafias. The conditions propped up due to this unholy nexus would harm the national security. The appeasement policy of the Trinamool Congress has unpleased the majority community, he added.
The senior BJP lead said that BJP is of clear view that it would not tolerate Gundaraj and would not provide patronage to mafia. The BJP governments of the states and the centre have initiated good governance and development and the party would continue with its agenda of development if voted to power in west Bengal, he added.
He said that the agenda of BJP is only development on that the Trinamool Congress has disappointed the people of West Bengal and we are sure that the people would give us a chance this time.
